All groups and organisations are reminded that 2018 reports should be submitted to the Church Office by Sunday December 23rd. Soft copies are preferred.

In this regard, there will be a short meeting of group/organisation secretaries after worship on Sunday December 16th to clarify the new format for reporting.

Can you even imagine what the birth of Christ would have been like if this wonderful event happened in the 21st Century? Well you must come on out on December 16th at 5:30 pm and witness this glorious event 21st century style. Lots of music, drama and laughs as well.

ADVENT

The Advent Season starts on the First Sunday of Advent, December 2nd and ends on Christmas Eve, December 24th. There are four Sundays of Advent. This period is a period of preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of the Lord (Christmas). A time when we remember that God became flesh and moved into our community.

In an effort to regularize our membership list, ALL members are asked to please fill out the slip provided and pass to the Ushers. Please ensure that a slip is completed for EACH family member (Child & Adult) whether or not they are in service today.

HOLY COMMUNION JANUARY 2019

We will bid farewell to Pastor Daniel Mark on Sunday January 6th during our 9:00 am Worship Service.

In this regard our Holy Communion services will be shifted to the second Sunday, January 13th at 6:30  and 9:00 am.

 

INFANT BAPTISM &  INFANT BAPTISMAL COUNSELLING

  • Baptism will be held on Sunday December 16th.
  • Baptismal Counselling will be on Thursday December 13th at 5:30 pm.

 

MARRIAGE BANNS

I publish the banns of marriage between Francis Davidson Esprit Divorcee of Ottos Newtown and Cleopatra Monique Jarvis of Ottos Newtown. If anyone knows of any just cause or lawful impediment why these two persons should not be joined together in marriage, let him or her declare it at the proper time and place. This is the second time of asking.

MEN’S FELLOWSHIP CAROL SERVICE

The Spring Gardens Men’s Fellowship Annual Carol Service will be held on Sunday December 2nd at 4:00 pm. All are invited!

 

PASTOR DANIEL MARK

Pastor Daniel Mark leaves to take a new assignment in Tobago from January 20th 2019.

He will be ordained to the Diaconate of the Moravian Church on January 13th in Tobago.

We will bid farewell to him on Sunday January 6th during our 9:00 am Worship Service.

READING OF LESSONS

Calling all members – the young, the middle aged and the elderly; male and female – who would like to participate in worship services by reading the lessons. Please call the Church Office to submit your names and day-time contact numbers. Don’t wait to be asked! God is depending on YOU!

 

SPECIAL SERVICE FOR SHUT-INS

A special service for our shut-in members will be held as part of the morning service on Sunday December 9th. Shut-in members will join us at 11:00 am. Communion will be served to these members.

Please indicate to the Church Office if you need assistance getting your loved one to the service or if you are able to assist in getting the shut-in members here. The bus which facilitates wheel chairs will be available.

WHITE GIFT SUNDAY

White Gift Sunday will be on Sunday December 9th. Items needed for distribution to persons in need on December 18th include:

  • Soda Bix
  • Milk
  • Juice
  • Bath Soap
  • Rice
  • Soap Powder
  • Vienna Sausage

  • Clothing & Shoes in good condition

 

WHITE GIFT VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers are needed to pack the White Gifts for the persons in need on Wednesday 12th, Thursday 13th and Friday 14th during the hours of 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Parents bring your children and participate in this “giving back” activity.
