The Deeper Waters Puppet Ministry grew out of the Spring Gardens Sunday School as a response to God’s calling to expand this activity into a Ministry to touch many more lives. This ministry was officially launched at a retreat held on April 2, 2004 where persons came together to commit themselves as puppeteers and to assist in other areas of costume designing and script writing. The puppet ministry’s Directors are Sisters Roberta Williams and Judith Gore.
The ministry’s spiritual theme is: Do not be afraid, from now on you will be catching people. Luke 5:10 (NIV). It’s mission is to spread the Gospel through the use of puppets as a powerful tool of education and ministry, in an imaginative and exciting manner, to touch lives and bring lasting results in Christ Jesus.
Future plans for the puppet ministry is to minister in the prison, hospital, communities, schools and produce a weekly television program.
